  • register or add a full semester class
  • drop first 8-week course without a "W"
  • receive a 100% cancellation of fees for dropping a full term class while continuing to be enrolled; no fee adjustment for dropping an individual class after this date
  • change from audit to credit
  • have Fall 2009 college based fees adjusted by changing colleges
Aug. 28 Deadline for:
  • Fall 2009 fee payment
  • applications for residency reclassification for Fall 2009
Sep. 4 Last day to:
  • change from credit to audit
  • drop a full semester class without having the grade of a "W" shown on the official record (no fee adjustment). A full semester class or classes dropped after Sep. 4 but on or before Oct. 30 will remain on the official record with a mark of "W" indicating withdrawal. No full semester class or classes may be dropped after Oct. 30, 2009, unless the student Officially Withdraws from all classes.
Sep. 4-14 Receive 80% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all classes; charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class
Sep. 7 Labor Day Holiday
Sep. 15-25 Receive 70% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all classes, charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class
Sep. 25 Last day to drop a first 8- week class with a mark of "W" (no fee adjustment)
Sep. 26-Oct. 6 Receive 60% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all classes; charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class
Oct. 2 Priority application date for students who plan to graduate at the end of Fall 2009
Oct. 7 Early Progress grade reports for 1000 and 2000 level classes will be e-mailed to student's University email account
Oct. 7-17 Receive 50% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all courses; charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition adjustment for dropping an individual class.
Oct. 13 First 8-week classes end
Oct. 14 Second 8-week classes begin
Oct. 16 Last day to add a second 8-week class and last day for 100% refund for dropping second 8-week class
Oct. 18-28 Receive 40% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all classes; charged $45.00 withdrawal fee; no tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class; no adjustment of fees for Officially Withdrawing after Oct. 28
Oct. 20 Last day to drop a second 8-week course without a "W" (no fee adjustment)
Oct. 30 Last day to:
  • drop a full semester class or classes with a mark of "W" (no fee adjustment). No full semester class or classes may be dropped after Oct. 30, 2009 unless the student Officially Withdraws from all classes
Nov. 2-13 Priority Registration for Spring 2010 for currently enrolled students
Nov. 13 Incomplete marks from the previous semester attended are changed to failing grades
Nov. 17 Last day to drop a second 8-week course with a "W" (no fee adjustment)
Nov. 25 Fall Break (Academic Holiday, University Administrative offices will be open)
Nov. 26-27 Thanksgiving Holiday
Dec. 8 Deadline to petition Academic Standards Committee for the Dec.11th meeting
Dec. 8 Last day:
  • to Officially Withdraw from all full semester classes for the Fall 2009 semester (no individual drop, no fee adjustment)
  • of Fall 2009 classes
Dec. 9 Final copies of master's thesis/doctoral dissertations must be submitted to the Graduate School for students graduating in Dec. 2009

NOTE: Certain classes meet for less than a full semester. For example, many Physical Education Activity classes meet for 8 weeks. Students register for or add these classes according to the dates and procedures specified in the Schedule of Classes.
