Aug. 24 Last date to receive 100% cancellation of fees for an Official Withdrawal for Fall 2008
Aug. 25 Classes begin at 7:30 a.m.
Aug. 25-Sep. 4 Receive 90% cancellation of fees for Official Withdrawal from all classes; charged $45.00 withdrawal fee.
Aug. 27 Last day to add a first 8-week class and last day for 100% refund for dropping first 8-week class.
Aug. 29 Last day to:
  • register or add a full semester class
  • drop first 8-week course without a "W"
  • receive a 100% cancellation of fees for dropping a full term class while continuing to be enrolled. No fee adjustment for dropping an individual class after this date.
  • change from audit to credit
  • have Fall 2008 college based fees adjusted by changing colleges.
Aug. 29 Deadline for:

  • applications for residency reclassification for Fall 2008
Sep. 1 Labor Day Holiday
Sep. 5-15 Receive 80% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all classes; charged $45.00 withdrawal fee. No tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class.
Sep. 5 Last day to:
  • change from credit to audit
  • drop a full semester class without having the grade of a "W" shown on the official record (no fee adjustment). A full semester class or classes dropped after Sep. 5 but on or before Oct. 31 will remain on the official record with a mark of "W" indicating withdrawal. No full semester class or classes may be dropped after Oct. 31, 2008, unless the student Officially Withdraws from all classes.
Sep. 16-26 Receive 70% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all classes, charged $45.00 withdrawal fee. No tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class.
Sep. 26 Last day to drop a first 8- week class with a mark of "W" (no fee adjustment)
Sep. 27-Oct. 7 Receive 60% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all classes; charged $45.00 withdrawal fee. No tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class.
Oct. 3 Priority application date for students who plan to graduate at the end of Fall 2008
Oct. 8-18 Receive 50% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all courses; charged $45.00 withdrawal fee. No tuition adjustment for dropping an individual class.
Oct. 8 Early Progress grade reports for 1000 and 2000 level classes will be e-mailed to student's University email account
Oct. 14 First 8-week classes end
Oct. 15 Second 8-week classes begin
Oct. 17 Last day to add a second 8-week class and last day for 100% refund for dropping second 8-week class.
Oct. 19-29 Receive 40% cancellation of fees for Officially Withdrawing from all classes; charged $45.00 withdrawal fee. No tuition or fee adjustment for dropping an individual class. No adjustment of fees for Officially Withdrawing after Oct. 29.
Oct. 21 Last day to drop a second 8-week course without a "W" (no fee adjustment)
Oct. 31 Last day to:
  • drop a full semester class or classes with a mark of "W" (no fee adjustment). No full semester class or classes may be dropped after Oct. 31, 2008 unless the student Officially Withdraws from all classes.
Nov. 3-14 Priority Registration for Spring 2009 for currently enrolled students.
Nov. 14 Incomplete marks from the previous semester attended are changed to failing grades
Nov. 18 Last day to drop a second 8-week course with a "W" (no fee adjustment)
Nov. 26 Fall Break (Academic Holiday, University Administrative offices will be open)
Nov. 27-28 Thanksgiving Holiday
Dec. 9 Deadline to petition Academic Standards Committee for the Dec.12th meeting
Dec. 9 Last day:
  • to Officially Withdraw from all full semester classes for the Fall 2008 semester (no individual drop, no fee adjustment)
  • of Fall 2008 classes

NOTE: Certain classes meet for less than a full semester. For example, many Physical Education Activity classes meet for 8 weeks. Students register for or add these classes according to the dates and procedures specified in the Schedule of Classes.
